Obligation to authorise freezing measures

Requests made by a Member State which are permissible under sections 94 and 95 are to be authorised. If a request is refused for lack of permissibility, reasons must be given for that decision.

§ 1 Scope of Application

Based upon this law and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (“Rome Statute”) of 17. July 1998 (Federal Law Gazette 2000 II p. 1393) the Federal Republic of Germany shall work together with the International Criminal Court.

Article 86 General obligation to cooperate

States Parties shall, in accordance with the provisions of this Statute, cooperate fully with the Court in its investigation and prosecution of crimes within the jurisdiction of the Court.
